T2’s Merriest Tea Infuser (£11, Amazon or in T2 store) is a dinky little gift, for who? Maybe you! It’s perfectly designed to sit in your cup with your favourite loose tea infusing away, with no chance of the leaves tumbling into the water. Even better, the lid doubles as a little saucer for when you take the infuser out of the cup, stopping unwelcome puddles appearing. Teabags are handy but using an infuser will give you a better tea experience.

Putting the kettle on and enjoying a cup of tea is a pleasant ritual for many of us but also one that can help relieve stress and to relax. Black tea contains less caffeine than coffee and is full of L-theanine, an amino acid, which plays a role in relaxation and can help you to sleep. Maybe avoid a strong builder’s tea late at night! A 2014 study by the University of Basel found that memory improved after drinking green tea. With several other suggested health benefits, it may be worth trying and enjoying. Infusers to the ready!

If you prefer a caffeine-free option, make a herbal infusion using loose-leaf chamomile or lemon balm. T2’s Sleep Tight (£6) is a tasty lemon balm-based tisane that may help when supped alongside a healthy sleep regime.
